Abide - dwell and Remain...

John 8:38 If you abide in My word, you are my disciples indeed.

Taking God's truth, writing it, studying it, memorizing it, declaring it, saying it...this kind of diligence and obedience to abiding will set us on a course for freedom. (Taken from Dutch Sheets book 'Roll Away Your Stone') .

I've always known the power of speaking God's word but now much more as my eyes have been opened to how much my soul needs freeing, all the strongholds of my thinking that can hold me back and naming one of the culprits...anger, short temper, losing control, whatever I might like to call it on the day is just one that I know God is dealing with ever so lovingly and gently, not letting me stay in a place any less that want He wants. I am thankful that the Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword...Heb 4:12 and that His word which goes from His mouth will not return to Him empty but will accomplish all He intends... Isaiah 55:1. All I do is eat - abide, dwell and remain in His word until it saves my soul...let his knife go to work! Ouch!

And... right at this time of lovingly dealing with me I read an amazing fiction 'The Shack' by William P Young which was for me all about Papa and understanding and receiving his love for me as his child for the first time! Yes, no condemnation, no disappointment in His eyes for me, just pure love! There was so much more there I will reread for sure.

So my days right now are wanting to be filled with just being with Him,knowing His sweet love in its fullness and keeping my mind stayed on Him and knowing perfect peace which follows - Isaiah 26:3, even in the midst of storms like waking to the worst migraine and continual vomiting this morning and all day. It should have been one of my worst days but there was peace, love and looking into my boys eyes to remind me who is with me today.
