We are doing a study together on 'When the Holy Spirit controls our lives He will produce this kind of fruit in us....Love, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Galations 5: 22,23.
It has been amazing what is happening in these little men's lives as they learn these principles in every day living. We have spent 2 weeks on them which brings home how young children need time to understand what this all looks like in real life. I love when Caleb was speaking kindly to an elderly lady whilst we were at Medicare, talking to her about his Larry boy toy...then runs to me later and says mummy was I showing kindness? Precious! Or when his friend fell off a scooter at the park and both my boys took the time to be with him and to make sure he was all right..then they put a name to what they just did and the smile on their faces say it all...they are learning and even if for a while they want recognition of their good work...one day they will do it all without asking for credit or do it when no one is looking...only their Heavenly Father. Of course this mummy has been challenged to ensure I am allowing the Holy spirit to control my life or all the teaching I am doing is in vain...arghh!!
